Job Description

***The candidate must come in to pick up his or her equipment on the first day at own expense. A candidate or a vendor representative must come in to drop off his or her equipment on the last day a town expense.
***There will be times when this position will be required for on-site meetings in the Raleigh area, but most of the work will be remote. The candidate will need to reside in North Carolina, preferably within commuting distance to Raleigh.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow applications and solutions. You will be responsible for customizing and configuring the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs, as well as providing ongoing support and maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development: Create and manage ServiceNow applications and modules, including form design, workflow creation, and custom scripting.
Configuration: Customize ServiceNow modules and applications to fit the specific needs of the business, including incident management, change management, problem management, and more.
Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other systems or platforms using web services, APIs, or other integration tools.
Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve issues with the ServiceNow platform, including debugging and troubleshooting problems with scripts, workflows, or integrations.
Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation for ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and integrations.
Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and end-users to understand requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.
Best Practices: Implement best practices for ServiceNow development and administration, including coding standards, testing procedures, and change management processes.
Upgrades and Maintenance: Participate in system upgrades and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Responsibilities and required skills

Proven ServiceNow experience (3 Years)
Web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3) (3 Years)
Basic understanding of ITIL v3 methodologies (3 Years)
Understanding of enterprise IT architecture (3 Years)
Working knowledge of relational databases (3 Years)
Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JAVA Script, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, etc.) (3 Years)
Impeccable time-management and record keeping (5 Years)
The ability to take complex end-user requirements to code (5 Years)
A positive can-do attitude & willingness to learn (5 Years)

This is a remote position. The candidate must reside in the United States. If a resident of North Carolina, the candidate must be willing to come to Raleigh at their expense to pick up a laptop. If outside the state of North Carolina, use their personal computer to remote into a workstation. Position is remote with minimal in-person engagement if the candidate is local to the Raleigh area.

Description:
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a ProjectWise PowerShell specialist contractor with advanced PowerShell experience specializing in ProjectWise automation, setup, and tools for a 12 month engagement working for the Department’s Engineering Application Services. The ProjectWise PowerShell specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts to support the Department wide administration and utilization of Bentley Systems ProjectWise. These administration tasks are in support of Preconstruction Engineering Design and CADD business processes that are critical to the project development workflows in the transportation lifecycle. The individual should be knowledgeable and experienced in PowerShell scripting and ProjectWise administration.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to support the Department wide administration and utilization of Bentley Systems ProjectWise
• Break down work tasks into clearly defined, manageable work items for the ProjectWise team
• Prioritize and track progress on work items and deliverables
• Ensure work items and deliverables are scheduled, completed, and delivered to the clients on time and with high quality & excellent, usable documentation
• Document the program and project deliverables as assigned
• Coordinate with clients to implement re-engineered business processes
• Draft and deliver training materials as needed
• Consult with clients to prototype, refine, test, and debug PowerShell scripts and ProjectWise processes to meet needs
• Provide quality control for ProjectWise administration tasks and project deliverables

Required Skills: (3+ years)
• Experience with PowerShell and ProjectWise
• Familiarity with ProjectWise 365 and ProjectWise Connected Projects
• Advanced PowerShell experience specializing in ProjectWise automation
• ProjectWise experience with automated project setup, including but not limited to automated forms, project setup, project tools, etc.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Positive interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users
• Excellent organizational and presentation skills
• Strong Microsoft Suite experience (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Proven experience evaluating business processes and re-engineering
• Proven experience writing clear and concise technical training materials and other user documentation
• Working knowledge of application development life cycle

Preferred Skills:
• Working knowledge of NCDOT engineering design processes
• Understanding of NCDOT transportation life cycle business processes
• Experience with designer or owner roles in SharePoint
• Experience with AGILE development methodology
• Familiarity with SDLC process.
