Job Description

Provide direct technical
support for the NCDOR mainframe based legacy tax management system (ITAS).

-The selected candidate will participate in requirements, design, development,
testing, implementation, and maintenance support for the NCDOR mainframe based
legacy tax management system (ITAS)

– Will work closely with other support team members to determine the best
approach to resolve issues as part of day-to-day support of legacy system.
Issue resolution will often require software changes and testing.

– Will work closely with others as a team member in design, development and
testing of legislative and operational changes to legacy system.

Responsibilities and required skills

Experience developing/maintaining mainframe based tax management systems using COBOL including Install/1 system management (10 Years)
Development experience with COBOL, EASYTRIEVE, MVS JCL, CICS, SQL and DB2 in a mainframe environment (10 Years)
Experience in Technical and Functional Requirements documentation (5 Years)
Extensive knowledge of techniques and methodologies relating to software quality assurance and testing through the full systems development lifecycle. ()
Databases: VSAM, DB2, IMS ()
Environment: TSO/ISPF, z/OS, MVS, IMS, Windows ()
Experience with troubleshooting and debugging mainframe application. ()
