Job Description
***The max rate for this position is $118.00/hour.
This 100% federally funded position is critical to the technical implementation of approximately 15 complex, high-impact projects underway, supporting three major Medicaid use cases. The projects are funded through an already approved Implementation Advance Planning Document (IAPD) with the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and NC Medicaid.
This Senior IT Project Manager position is critical in providing state oversight and coordination with vendor project managers. The role also provides project management support for the HIEA team internally.
Without this critical, high-leverage role, there is a significant risk of poor project execution against the existing contracts, resulting in project delays and cost overruns, which ultimately support whole-person healthcare for Medicaid beneficiaries.
Responsibilities and required skills
Use Medicaid & clinical knowledge to partner with analysts, clarify requirements, assess impacts, and ensure UAT issues are tracked through resolution (3 Years)
Provide project management oversight of vendor implementation projects to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. (3 Years)
Develop & manage integrated project plans, directing scope, schedules, risks, communication, and change control to support organized project delivery (3 Years)
Provide regular project reporting, including progress, risks, blockers, and decisions for stakeholders. (5 Years)
