The State of Michigan is looking for a Programmer Analyst 6
Max Bill Rate: $100.00/hr

Top Skills & Years of Experience:
• Must have a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as business administration, information technology, finance, or marketing (or a similar field).
• Strong experience working in Agile/Hybrid environments, translating business requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Ability to break down complex business requirements into smaller user stories for development teams, while ensuring that technical constraints, limitations and dependencies are considered.
• Experience working on projects involving vendor owned, designed and hosted solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• The preferred candidate must possess and demonstrate strong troubleshooting.

Clear and concise written and verbal communication is crucial to success and productivity in this role.

– Will close submissions on: 4/2/26 at 10am EST
– Interview Process: 1st round interviews will be virtual interview via MS Teams video. Please use laptop and be prepared to share screen if asked. 2nd round interviews will be held in-person. Candidates must be available for an in-person interview.
– Duration: Duration: 1 year with desire for contractor to convert to fulltime with SOMI in 1-2 years. At the time of conversion, candidate must be authorized to work in the US without VISA sponsorship by the State of Michigan.
– Hybrid: Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week.
– Local candidates ONLY. Candidates must be located in Michigan within 90 minutes of Lansing, MI at time of submission.
