Job Description

Any candidate scheduled for a Teams interview must have a current screenshot picture uploaded onto the interview request page in dotStaff. Photo IDs/passport, etc. will NOT be accepted. This should be a current screenshot from an interaction with the vendor. This now must be uploaded BEFORE you can accept the interview request and cannot be edited after the interview is accepted. Job Description:
This position provides ongoing application data maintenance and User Acceptance Testing for upgrades/new software releases for the DAVE application. DAVE is a proprietary software that is used for collecting, registering and issuing vital records in the State of Maine. The role is responsible for problem identification, documentation, and communication of issues to be remediated by the application vendor. There are two planned software releases a year. With every release there are approximately 1200 scripts to test every aspect of the system’s functionality. Technical skills such as a system analyst or programming skills are not necessary for completing user acceptance testing; however, the work involves review, examination, and evaluation of the system and how the system functions as it pertains to the policies and regulation governing the administration of vital records. It requires project management and organization skills to ensure communication, information flow and in documentation of past and future enhancements. It serves as a liaison between the vendor and OIT. The position is responsible for completing the user acceptance testing for the software, summarizing the findings including defects, and conveying future needs and enhancements.

The candidate must be able to:
Utilize pre-made scripts to test functionality and document successful completion on SharePoint and utilize Jira if there are any issues/bugs.
Make sound recommendations on functional and technical improvements to the product.
Analyze the functional and technical impact of product planning decisions.
Participate in product design reviews to verify that design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements.
Perform impact analyses on production fixes and enhancements to establish priorities.
Provide basic product support and provide accurate and complete answers to detailed product questions in a timely manner.
Provide effective on-site and over the phone product support as needed.
Accurately sets severity of identified defects.
Provide input to training and/or documentation materials regarding latest technical and functional design changes.
Document all work on SharePoint for future reference.
Review the system test approach and conditions used as the basis for detailed test scenarios.
Follow quality standards.
Analytical and customer service skills.
Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
Ability to work in a team environment.
